Extremely Disappointed with Honest 1 Autocare's Service My recent experience with Honest 1 Autocare has left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed. My family and I were on a trip from Ames to Minnesota when our 2005 Nissan Altima suddenly broke down on the highway. Based on positive reviews, we turned to Honest 1 Autocare for help. Sadly, the service we received fell far short of our expectations. We were informed that our vehicle couldn't start and wasn't communicating with the diagnostic machine. To fix this, we were advised to replace the ECM and have it reprogrammed, which carried an astounding cost of $1780. Along with this, we agreed to replace the battery and serpentine belt, ultimately resulting in a staggering bill of $3677, inclusive of labor charges. What's even more disappointing is that within just two weeks, our vehicle reverted to its previous non-starting state, failing to communicate with the diagnostic tool once again. Regrettably, it seems that Honest 1 Autocare did not even bother to address my initial email (sent July 21, 2023) or take the necessary steps to prevent a recurrence. As a customer who placed their trust in Honest 1 Autocare's reputation, I expected a level of service that reflected professionalism and expertise. Unfortunately, this experience has shattered that trust. The significant financial burden we bore for services that provided only temporary relief has left me questioning the value and integrity of this establishment. I hope that this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering Honest 1 Autocare's services. It's disheartening to encounter such indifference after expressing genuine concerns. As of now, my disappointment remains unresolved, and I await any sign that Honest 1 Autocare truly cares about its customers and their experiences.
